Introduction: The aim of this study is to predict emotion regulation based on attachment styles and perceived parenting styles in high school students. Methods: The present study is correlational. The study population consisted of all female students in Bojnord. The sample consisted of 167 students who were selected by multistage cluster sampling method. In this study were used three tools include attachment styles, parenting styles and emotion regulation questionnaires. To analyze the data, were used descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and regression analysis). Results: The results showed that there is a significant linear relationships between emotion regulations with secure attachment (p< 0/01). But between insecure attachment styles and perceived parenting styles there is no significant relationship (p >0/01). Conclusions: According to the findings can be said that secure attachment affect on emotional development, so we should have programs to alert parents for communicate with children appropriately. Nurses play an important role in providing comprehensive services to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems and their families, such findings can be used by nurses in emergency time.
