The Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Based Play Therapy on Computer Games Addiction, Aggression and School Stress in Children Ageing 10-11

Introduction: Today One of the most entertaining activities is computer games; while children have paid attention to such games, they have left adverse impacts on their mental and physical.
 Methods: present study aimed to examine the effects of cognitive-behavior-based play therapy on computer games addiction, aggression, and school stress in children aged 10-11 in Isfahan. This article is quasi-experimental with a pretest, posttest, and follow-up. The statistical society was children aged 10-11. By available sampling 30 students who had the highest degree of addiction to computer games were chosen and were divided into an experimental group and a control group each with 15 students. The experiment group received 10 sessions of about 90-120 minutes of treatment each week. Students were tested by questionnaire computer games addiction Soltani and Farhadi (1395), aggression Bas and Peri (1992), and educational stress Zajakua (2005). At the end of the follow-up phase, they were evaluated. Research data analysis was performed using "spss23" statistical software and a variance test with repeated measures was used.
Results: The results of repeated measures analysis of variance indicate that play therapy based on cognitive-behavioral therapy has been effective in reducing computer games addiction, aggression, and academic stress in children aged 10-11.
Conclusion: The findings of this study emphasize the effect of online cognitive-behavioral play therapy on computer game addiction, aggression, and academic stress. Therefore, it is suggested that therapists use this therapeutic approach as a useful method.
